This album brings together a collection of Moscow's studio recordings and live performances from the 1980s along with rare and previously unreleased tracks that showcase the band's versatility and range.  It also includes some recordings from 2010 both studio and live.

Their first 1982 album, “From the Edge to the Sea” took on a more dramatic feel from the music of their earlier incarnation, The Odds, underpinned by a huge range of synth sounds and funky guitar that drove melodies that stuck, often with anthemic, sing-along choruses.  The full song list on that album was Gabriel, No Evil, Living for the War, Always You, Martin, From the Edge to the Sea, Crime for History and Of My Love.

In May 1982, they released their second album, “Flying Over town” containing the tracks Fell Among Thieves, In My Sleep, Crime For History (remix), Gabriel (remix), Time, Vanity Hall, Twenty Years, Is This Hell?, Freedom, Now That You’re Dead and Elephant Eyes.

In late 1982, they released their final album, “All Our Yesterdays” with In My Sleep (remix), Vanity Hall, Turning to Crime, Time (remix) and All Our Yesterdays.

It was in 1983 that they released their double-A sided single with a re-worked version of Gabriel and a new song You Might Say It’s Love which supported the mini-tour of the UK that led to their appearance in the final of the Battle of the Bands at Hammersmith Odeon which was shown at prime-time on BBC One.

Moscow worked hard, touring extensively and made several live television performances on the BBC.  They played in front of large, appreciative audiences (two of which you can hear on this album) but, ultimately, did not make the “big time” so the wider world did not get the chance to enjoy the music that their, shall we say, “cult” following loved so much.  Moscow played their first gig at Beverley Hills on 2nd September 1981 and two years, many gigs and great memories later they gave up their dream with their final gig at Burton Constable Hall in 2nd September 1983.

The break-up was never acrimonious, it all just fizzled out.  They remained friends, so it was a simple decision when Twig picked up the phone to each band member in 2010 asking if they’d like to open a Party in the Park gig for the likes of Rick Astley and Bananarama.  So, 27 years later, they returned to the studio and recorded two singles (In My Sleep and Of My Love) to be released at that gig in order to raise money for the Dove House Hospice.  The final song on the album, My Decision, is taken from the gig as it is the only recorded version in existence.
